  This sweet tiny poppy is an endangered native Utah plant that only grows in the desert landscape of Washington County, UT. I love the symbolism found in something so delicate that can only thrive in harsh conditions.

  I began these fiery poppies en plein air in my neighbor’s front yard. I don’t know how she does it, but her poppies are always enormous and vibrant. My favorite part of this piece are the many color variations subtly interacting against the lacy foliage. Framed in bronze. 14x11”
